What made us choose Dodmoor for our special day...
Kev loves Christmas, so we just said let’s have a smallish Christmas wedding and started planning in August - so not long really! We chose Dodmoor House because it was different with a personal touch on a slightly small scale, with lovely grounds. There's lots of sparkle, fairy lights and a Christmas tree at Christmas. Just a simple day with no pressure for anyone e.g speeches. We wanted everything and everyone relaxed.
Our outfits...
Kev hired a tux. For me, I originally wanted red... perfect Christmas colour, I thought... But I was chatting one day and Kev said he wasn’t keen on red! He meant red bows everywhere, but it put me off so I cancelled them! I’d had a few on order... Anyway, my dress came from a Russian designer working from an American shop called Olivia Bottega, so it had a long way to travel from! I fell in love with the sparkles.
The food...
Lemon Zest provided us with so much amazing tasty food. A roast dinner (to keep it Christmassy)!
Our favourite part of the day...
Kev - Walking back down the aisle with my new wife (the confetti shower)!
Me - Everything.
What made Dodmoor as a venue stand out to us... 🥰
Dodmoor was intimate, and had that personal touch that kept everyone looked after and close together.
Entertainment...
We had Taylormade from Dodmoor's recommended, who were brilliant!
The idea we felt really worked on the day...
My puppies! They were so well behaved.
Where we feel our budget was well spent...
The finishing touches worked well, such has the games for the children.
Suppliers we loved...
Manor House Quartet were a beautiful touch that Kev found to play, and Pamper My Poochie for taking care of the boys!
Personal touches that reflected us as a couple...
Sitting on tables with our friends and family, so we were all equal with no top table. Oh and having our fur babies there too!
Our tip for other couples...
Enjoy the day it goes too quickly! And trust in the staff to make everything run super smoothly, they are fantastic ❤️
Special thanks to Michelle and Kevin for sharing their story, Profound Image Photography for the photos x
