Jo and Andy's Autumn Wedding

How we met...

We were introduced by mutual friends.

The proposal...

Very traditional, at home and down on one knee!

What made us choose Dodmoor for our special day...

It's the perfect rustic venue for an autumnal wedding.

Our vision for the day...

A cosy autumn theme. Lot’s of dried flowers!

Our outfits...

The bridesmaids were in velvet burnt orange dresses, and the groomsmen were in navy suits.

The food...

Smoked haddock chowder/celeriac velouté, chicken/cannelloni and brownie/bread and butter pudding. Gourmet Food Kitchen was our caterer, and he was amazing!

Our favourite part of the day...

The actual ceremony and the wedding breakfast.

What made Dodmoor as a venue stand out to us...

The trees and the rustic buildings, and the grounds and main house for a great backdrop to our photos.

The ideas that we felt really worked on the day...

The magician, children decorating their own mini pumpkin, and the Irish music in the barn whilst the DJ was setting up for the evening.

Entertainment we put on...

Magician for the drinks reception and Irish music after the wedding breakfast.

Where we feel our budget was really well spent...

The food!

Personal touches that reflected us as a couple...

The photos in the bar area, the projector with photos on, and the décor.

Recommended suppliers we used and loved...

James Taylor (from Taylor'd Tableware Hire) who provided the linen/cutlery and Oasis who provided the waiting staff. Both were amazing and could not fault them. Also the Dodmoor House Burger Bar - everyone said how delicious they were! Great recommendations from Dodmoor!

Special thanks to Jo and Andy for sharing their story, and to Claire from Poppy K Photography for the photos x
