How we met and the proposal...
Lee added me on Facebook ten years ago now, not the most romantic of beginnings but he made up for it with the proposal. Just before our seven year anniversary we went away to Ibiza, and we stayed in a beautiful hotel, very romantic... Lee didn’t propose there. He thought it would be far too obvious and instead waited until we arrived home. He had planned for my sister to take me out shopping whilst he set up a series of clues throughout our house and made them look like they were from our beloved pooch Nelson. I made my way through the house to find Lee and Nelson down on one knee in the garden. He thought of everything, picked the perfect ring, and even recorded the moment.
The dress...
The dress was a two piece made to look like one, the top was from Theia and the skirt was Suzanne Neville. The best bit was the Jimmy Choo’s for me. I went all out diva and had an outfit change, my evening dress was from Ghost, and shoes from Reiss.
Our favourite part of the day...
For Lee it was the build up in the morning, seeing all our ideas and plans over two years come together. Topped by the very moment he saw me make my way across the courtyard for the ceremony.
For me it was definitely the ceremony, the string quartet was everything I dreamed of and reading our vows to each other was the happiest moment of my life so far.
Stress free planning...
YOU! Having a team of staff at Dodmoor who were so chilled and thought of everything! The meeting we had a few weeks before was incredible, you were so organised and helpful it made us feel completely confident that our day would run smoothly.
Where we feel our budget was well spent...
Our unbelievable photographer Matt Parry! We’ve never looked so good ;)
Lee’s Dad also made our flower arch last minute and it was such a big feature on the day.
Finally, if we could give a tip to other couples...
Chloe: Eat all the food and don’t drink too much, you want to remember your special day!
Lee: Find ways to remind yourself to be in the moment and make the special memories, because it goes so quickly!
Special thanks to Chloe and Lee for sharing their story, and to Matt Parry Photography for the photos x
