The Catesby Barn

The double-height Catesby Barn, with its oak floor, stunning wooden beams and stylish Juliet balcony, is a memorable and versatile setting for wedding breakfasts and evening parties.

The Grade II listed barn has been stylishly converted and can seat up to 74 guests on round tables, or 100 guests on banqueting tables, and can accommodate a total of up to 180 guests for evening parties.

Fairy lights sparkle on the tie bars across the ceiling and the balcony railings, while candles in heart-shaped holders flicker around the walls and window sills. Colourful baskets of flowers or paper lanterns can be hung from pulley systems in the centre of the room to create a dramatic effect, or you can use our modern candelabras to add to the soft lighting, especially in winter.

The room is connected to the Mezzanine Bar at first-floor level, making it the perfect flexible party space, in offering different but connected areas for guests to dance, sit, chat and mingle.

The contemporary bar area is often seen by couples as Dodmoor House’s ‘hidden gem’ and is connected to the Catesby Barn through an archway at the first-floor level from the balcony area. A set of outside steps also provides access to the main courtyard.

The bar acts as a meeting point for guests to mingle before a ceremony and waitress service is always available during your drinks reception.

Once the wedding breakfast has finished and the ‘no corkage’ period ends, the bar is exclusively open until the end of the evening at 11.30pm or 12am for you and your guests to enjoy a drink and chat while still being part of the evening party.

A wide range of drinks are served at pub prices and waitress service can be offered for those  seated either in the courtyard area or in the Courtyard Barn throughout the evening.
